Our Story

Sandwich World has been a fixture in this area since 1984. The current owners, Eric Chauvin & Jeannine Zeringue Chauvin, purchased it from its creator in 2002. We pride ourselves in serving authentic River Road dishes that are unique to St. James Parish. Come by and taste what everyone else has been talking about over the years. Enjoy a stroll on the levee along the mighty Mississippi River, just a few blocks away. Come in December and see the legendary Bonfires on Christmas Eve. The spirit of our region is like a good Gumbo, full of flavor and enjoyed best with friends and family!
